Concentric's Global History 

Traces its origins to the Reichert Company founded in Berlin in 1886.

•1948: Manufactures first engine pump

•1990: Garphyttan buys Vickers gear pump (Stateville, USA & Hof,

               Germany)

•2002: New management rebuilds Concentric as independent business

•2005: Concentric completes divestment of business (except engine

               pump business.

•2008: Engine pump business become global leader w/ greenfield

               plants in India & China (doubling sales in 3 year Period)

•2008: Haldex AB acquires Concentric plc

              (Forms Haldex Hydraulics Systems Division)

•2011: Haldex Hydraulics System Division renamed Concentric AB

              (Independently listed company in Nasdaq OMX)

•2013: Concentric acquires LICOS Trucktec GmbH

Primary products manufactured in Hof include external gear pumps and fluid motors

The Hof facility houses applications, product engineering, customer and product service for gear pumps and gear motors. Much of the development work in low noise gear product technology has emanated from Hof's engineering department and has been implemented on Concentric branded pump designs worldwide. Hof works closely with the European marketing and sales organization and its global counterparts to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Business activities are divided by region, with full earnings and balance sheet responsibility at both regional and plant levels. Every plant has a local manager who assumes earnings responsibility for the entire range of plant operations. Concentric differentiates between engine production lines with higher volumes and hydraulic production lines with lower volumes. The production lines with higher volumes have a cellular structure that utilises automatic or semi-automatic no-fault forward methods for the production of single items, or only a few varieties. The production lines with lower volumes have a production channel structure based on a group method that supports sales of smaller production batches of similar products.
